Mission:
The mission of WCOAGC is to promote and support the academic, social and emotional needs of gifted students in West Central Ohio.
Activities:
WCOAGC is dedicated: -To provide professional development opportunities. -To increase public awareness of the needs of gifted and talented students through advocacy at the local, state, and national levels. -To encourage interaction and collaboration among members through networking. -To form alliances with community and professional organizations.
Meetings:
Regular meetings of the Association shall be held the second Friday of each month from September through May.
Membership Information:
Full membership in the organization shall be opened to individuals in West Central Ohio who are coordinating gifted and talented programs, and/or who are teaching gifted/talented students in West Central Ohio schools districts, and/or who are teaching or coordinating gifted and talented students in West Central Ohio universities. Associate memberships shall be opened to any person other than a coordinator or teacher who is contributing to the education and welfare of the gifted and talented.
