Mission:
To identify, provide and/or sponsor enriching academic and social opportunities for students of the District. LEADS strives to create a venue for communication and interaction among the parents of Lakota’s students, including providing effective needs support. LEADS will partner with the Lakota teachers, principals, curriculum directors and Board of Education to insure Lakota students have every learning opportunity available.
Activities:
Parent Connect: educational series for families; Book Club: bi-monthly enrichment opportunity for grades 1-3 and 4-6; Pi Day: Hands-on math/science activities for K-8

Our Mission as a group of Gifted Coordinators and Educators is to support the development and implementation of high-quality environments and experiences based on student needs that promote the development and growth of giftedness in cognitive, academic, artistic, and socio-emotional areas to promote critical thinking and lifelong learning.
Activities:
SWOCOG meets to collaborate on a wide range of Gifted Topics including compliance, advocacy, best practices, innovative programming, global research, and more. Our work includes conversation regarding federal, state an local updates. Our community also engages to create space for professional learning and networking.

We welcome all Gifted Coordinators, GIS’s and district administrators who support gifted programming throughout southwestern Ohio. Membership is $15 annual. Please reach out for more information.
